Ten of the finest youth anglers from all parts of Oregon met on Saturday, May 15, 2010 for an absolutely fine day of fishing on the Willamette River. The Smallmouth Bass were in their spawning pattern throughout the river, and these anglers were able to capitalize on some good fishing. A special THANK YOU to all of the volunteer boat captains who helped us out. We could not have done it without you.
Congratulations go out to Nick Chin (15-18 age group) and Dezmond McVay (11-14 age group) for winning their age groups and advancing to the TBF National Guard Junior World Championships at Lake Lanier, Georgia. These two youth anglers will join 100 other youth winners from across the country to compete at the championship event August 4-7, 2010.
