Six of the finest youth anglers from all parts of Oregon met on Sunday, May 22, 2011 for an absolutely fine day of fishing on the Willamette River. The Smallmouth Bass were in their pre-spawn pattern throughout the river. High water levels hindered some anglers, but most all of them were able to catch fish. A special THANK YOU to all of the volunteer boat captains who helped us out. We could not have done it without you.

Congratulations go out to Nick Chin (15-18 age group) and Tristan Decker (11-14 age group) for winning their age groups and advancing to the TBF National Guard Junior World Championships in Arkansas later this August. Details are still being worked out and we will have a location for them to pre-fish soon.

These two youth anglers will join 100 other youth winners from across the country to compete at the championship event. We are also collecting donations for these two youths for traveling expenses. If you would like to make a donation, please send in a check to
